Aftercare for Nanoblading: what you need to know about healing

Nanoblading is a light, delicate, and natural technique — and for that very reason, the recovery process is usually very smooth.
But as with any aesthetic procedure, some care is essential to ensure the best result.
Below, I answer the most common questions I receive in the studio and explain everything you need to know about the days after the procedure:

What happens right after Nanoblading? Will it be red or very marked?

No. Unlike more aggressive techniques, Nanoblading works in a superficial and controlled way.
Therefore, it usually doesn’t leave the skin red, injured, or with thick scabs. Healing is quick and discreet.
Some people feel mild sensitivity in the first few hours, but it’s very light and temporary.

Does Nanoblading peel? Will the color change?

There may be very subtle flaking, almost imperceptible — nothing that would prevent you from going out, working, or meeting people.
In the first few days, the pigment may appear slightly darker, but this is normal and temporary. After about 7 days, the color softens and blends with your skin’s natural tone.

Can I go out in the sun after Nanoblading? What if it’s summer in Europe?

This is one of the questions I hear most often — especially here in Europe, where people are very concerned about sun exposure.
The good news is: Nanoblading is not invasive enough to require complete sun isolation.

If you’re spending the summer in the city with light sun exposure (like walking, cycling, or enjoying an afternoon outdoors), there’s no problem. In fact, many clients choose Nanoblading during this time because it leaves the skin looking beautiful, fresh, and light — perfect for the European summer.

⚠️ Just be careful during the first 20 days: avoid beaches, saunas, and seawater baths. Salt water and intense heat can interfere with the healing process.
If you have a beach trip planned, it’s best to schedule the procedure after your vacation.

What if I have a wedding or special event?

Nanoblading is a wonderful choice for brides and guests of important events.
We always recommend having the procedure at least 30 days in advance, so your eyebrows will already be healed and with the final color adjusted.
Also, since the technique is discreet from day one, you don’t have to worry about looking “marked” or “injured” afterward. The transition is very smooth.

What are the basic aftercare steps I need to follow?

The main care during the first 3 days is:

  • Avoid getting your eyebrows wet (even in the shower).
  • Do not apply makeup or creams to the area.
  • Do not scratch, rub, or pick at scabs.
  • Avoid saunas, pools, and intense direct sunlight for 20 days.

You will receive a post-procedure aftercare kit with everything you need to keep the area hydrated and protected, along with written instructions.

Can I work and live normally?

Yes! Nanoblading does not require downtime. You can return to your activities the same day, worry-free.
Many clients have the procedure done during a work break or between appointments — it’s quick, safe, and with immediate results.
